Clay Pigeon Thrower

ItemTitle

Shotguns are used to shoot clay pigeons. Each shot from a shotgun contains hundreds of small metal balls (usually lead shot) that spread out to form a cloud of rapidly moving projectiles. This makes it easier to hit a rapidly moving clay target, as it only requires approximately three pieces of lead shot to break a clay pigeon (a scorer has to see at least one piece of clay pigeon break off for a hit to be recorded). Most clay shooters use Over and Under Double Barrel Shotguns - a gun with two barrels mounted one above the other, although the more traditional Side by Side Shotgun is also used.

The common indoor bugs we see are flies, spiders, fleas and beetles. No-one likes to have insects indoors, so most people go to almost any extremes to eradicate these common indoor bugs. Most modern shooting grounds use automatic traps (fully automated, electrical powered machines that will throw a clay pigeon every time a remote button is pressed or acoustic sensor is operated) to produce consistent targets, allow greater target flexibility and increase operator safety.

Most clay shooters use Over and Under Double Barrel Shotguns - a gun with two barrels mounted one above the other, although the more traditional Side by Side Shotgun is also used.

Most clay shooters will use a shotgun with a barrel diameter of around 18.5 mm. This is known as a 12 bore or 12 gauge shotgun. Smaller diameter guns are also used (16 or 20 gauge) as these are lighter in weight (often suitable for younger or smaller framed shooters).

The internal diameter of the barrels often reduces at the end. This is known as choking and is used to alter
the pattern of shot that fires from the gun. A barrel with parallel sides towards its end will produce a cloud of shot that spreads out more rapidly than a barrel that chokes down at the end.

A fully choked barrel will ensure that 70% of the shot will be delivered within a 30 " diameter circle at 40
yards. A more open barrel may only keep 50% of the shoot within the circle. Many shotguns have fixed chokes (often one tighter than the other), others are known as multichokes that allow a sleeve to be screwed into the end of the barrel. The sleeves have various diameters to allow different shot patterns to be produced.

The distance the clay target is away from the shooter will often influence the selection of choke. A close
target is easier to hit with an open choke as this allows the cloud of shot to spread out faster. A distant target is best shot with a tight choke as this will ensure the shot cloud stays closer together for longer - making it more likely for several pieces of shot to hit the clay and break it.

Electric Mosquito Trap - Can Be They Effective?

Defining Electric fly swatter

Electric Mosquito Trap - Can Be They Effective?

An electric fly swatter can be the right tool to bring this summer and put an end to the insect problem in your home. The e-fly swatter is an electric device and looks like a tennis racket. This mosquito killing tool uses one 2 D-size batteries in order to charge the small net with a power of about 1500 volts. The tennis racket like design of this electronic mosquito trap makes it easy to use and handy.

How it works?

With the e-fly swatter, you just have to wave it towards the mosquito or fly. And then the 1500 voltage charge will zap the insect and kill them instantly. Well, you can sure that there will be no mess later on. You do not need to wipe the tennis racket and clean it. You also do not have to place a newspaper around and you will also not get a tennis arm syndrome for sure.

Why electric mosquito trap?

Most people look for cheapest alternatives to solve problems. This is because mosquito traps tend to be costly alternatives. Moreover, the cheapest options that you get in the forms of mosquito sprays are even more dangerous to human health.

According to medical research, sprays are often found to be poisonous to the humans than on the insects and bugs around. When the electronic mosquito trap came around it added a lot more convenience in getting rid of the flies.

Highlighting on Major Features

An electronic mosquito trap like the e-fly swatter is a rechargeable tool. It furnishes about two pieces of about 1.2 V high-quality rechargeable batteries. These batteries can also be recharged from time to time. In figures, you can recharge more than 600 times.

Another important feature of the electronic fly swatter is the leak-proof net. It consists of a special 3-layered net that can effortlessly catch mosquitoes and other insects and never leaks out. It is an electric shock-proof device that kills flies, insects and mosquitoes. It is safe to use and doesn't harm humans.

This device adopts a unique twice-speed circuit discharge that can yield up to 2500 V in a single moment. Thus, you can be sure to get the best results for knocking down the mosquitoes. Overall, this electronic mosquito trap can be quite economic and practical to use especially for the common mass. Bring home an e-fly swatter and experience the difference yourself.

It does not matter where you live in the world, it is very hard to keep these common indoor bugs outside, unless you go to the extremes of keeping all your windows and doors closed at all times, which is quite impossible. I now live in Thailand and I know for certain that this is not possible.

Electric Bug Zapper

Common Indoor Bugs

So, what on Earth can you do? Well, let's deal with all the flying bugs first, as of all the common indoor bugs, I find them the most unpleasant indoor bug. They are very annoying, buzzing around your head and mosquitoes and other flies can create irritating sores and besides that, all flies spread disease. I cannot bear to see them strutting about on food, knowing that they have probably just come off some dog's muck somewhere and now they are spitting on my food to taste it with their stinking feet!

Common Indoor Bugs

My first line of defence is fine-mesh door and widow screens. They are not expensive and can be fitted retrospectively to any window. My window meshes slide, so they will cover only one half of the window at a any one time, but I do not think that's a problem. You can still create cross-winds, by opening two or more windows at opposite sides of a room. I like to see the flies on the mesh struggling to get in by day and the mosquitoes doing the same by night. At night, it is best to turn on as little light indoors as possible so as not to draw these common indoor insects.

My second line of defense is natural predators - lizards, like Geckos (Jin Jok, in Thai). Some people don't like them in the house much either and I can't say that I'm all that keen on them indoors myself, but they are difficult to keep outside and they do consume hundreds, if not thousands, of indoor bugs every day. I particularly like to see them lying in wait on the outside of the mesh, ready to pounce on any bug trying to wriggle its way through the wires.

My third line of defense is an indoor bug zapper. You know, the electric, handheld bug zapper that looks like a toy tennis racquet. They are fantastic at catching and annihilating any flying indoor bug. The bug literally explodes and vaporizes on contact with the fully-charged wires of the indoor bug zapper. If you haven't tried using one, you really should. They are most satisfying. These three defenses keep our house pretty much free of flying insects.

The crawling common indoor bugs are less of a problem really. Door screens on springs will keep 99% of them out and the Geckos will help too. Spiders can get in fairly very easily, but then, I don't mind them too much as long as they keep out of my way, as they consume other insects too. They are on our side really. However, for those who can not bear to trap them and throw them outside, the handheld indoor bug zapper works a treat on spiders too.

Fleas can sometimes be a problem, if you keep cats or dogs, but then if you wash or dust the animal once a month, you should be able to keep these common indoor bugs under control fairly easily. However, there are two final measures that we employ. Once a week, before we go out for the day, we spray every room with fly killer and every six-months we spray any rugs or carpets with a bug killer containing permethrin, which will survive washing and vacuuming for that long without losing its ability to kill common indoor bugs on contact. If you follow these measures, you should be able to keep your home or office quite free of the most common indoor bugs and any less common indoor bug as well.

After browsing the internet for some time, I got quite surprised about the amount of rat control methods on the market, and how did classic rodent protection methods had evolved with the time passing. Apart from good old classic wooden rat traps, there are new kinds of plastic rat traps, electrically charged rat traps that are called the rat zappers, and also several types of chemical rat repellent sprays. Also, another cool device I had found, that are called high pitch sound device, which drives rats away from your territory without any harm done to the critter. Let us review those methods, to try to find out which one is the best in your situation..

Electric Bug Zapper

The Grey Plague - How To Get Rid Of Rats?

High pitch sound devices - electronic devices that produces a high pitch sound, that is not hearable to people or pets, but irritating for rodents. Those gadgets drive rats away from your property, without damaging them. They just produce a unique sound which makes it intolerable for rats to stay in the area where the device is install, driving them away to a place more appropriate for their nesting. Those devices are very well-designed, and it spares you the troubles with disposing the rat's dead bodies, which with rat traps or rat poison is almost inevitable.

The Grey Plague - How To Get Rid Of Rats?

Rat zapper - electricity powered rat trap that kills the rat instantly, with a powerful electric charge, living the dead rodent in a special container for little rat corpses. Rats can carry and transmit dangerous illnesses, which you and your family or pets most definitely want to avoid. The rat container gives a great opportunity to avoid direct contact with the dead animal, and remove it safely into a garbage container.

Rat traps - a classic method that give rats no opportunity for escaping, crushing them in pieces before they know it. Most traditional yet very powerful way to capture rats, mice or other rodents. Although it has its own down sides it is the cheapest method out there, at least if going for wooden rat trap. You have to set up many traps all over the infested area, in order to make sure that all the rodent are exterminated, but when the work is done, be ready for some messy cleansing, and pray you have a strong stomach. Direct contact is another thing you will have to deal with, after using rat traps. Besides, traditional rat traps might be dangerous for your pets or children.

Rat repellent - a hazardous rat poison that you apply around infested areas, which kills the rodent if it comes in contact with the substance. Rat repellant does its job, but it may be unsafe to your domestic animals. So you might think twice before actually using it. Also conceder all those dead rat corpses, laying around your cellar and the cleaning up you will have to perform. Also, the biggest problem with rat poison is that rats won't die instantly, and instead it will run off to a safer, unreachable place and die there. The smell will become intolerable in some time, and you will definitely need the help of professionals with special equipment to help your problem.

Bed Bugs Treatment - How to Get Rid of Them Step-By-Step

The best way to prevent a bed bug infestation is to keep them from getting into your home.

Bed Bugs Treatment - How to Get Rid of Them Step-By-Step

Unfortunately, bed bugs are becoming a global problem, and since these little critters are fast and invasive, it can be tough to keep them out.

When you travel, bring a flashlight. Check the mattress where you're staying for any small dark stains. Look in the crevices of the mattress, and the seams. Check carefully. It is unlikely that you'll see a bug, but you may see evidence of them. They will leave dark (blood) stains when they get crushed as the previous person rolled over, or they may simply leave excrement.

Either way, they're gross.

If you see evidence of bed bugs, leave the room immediately. If you can't leave, then make sure that your luggage is placed in the bathtub or elevated off the floor. This way the insects can't climb into your suitcase and hitch a ride to your home.

Don't leave any clothing or other items on the floor where insects can hitch an easy ride to your house.

Bed Bugs Habits and Bite Evidence

I have a friend who is an exterminator. In talking with him the other day, he said that he had recently attended a symposium for exterminators. He told me, "Bed bugs are bad news. I'd take cockroaches any day over a bed bugs infestation."

This is because effective insect treatment is not just a simple application of chemical. This is going to take some careful effort on your part to eradicate them.

Bed bugs sleep during the day and come out at night to feed on blood. Humans are a favorite target, although they will also feed on dogs and cats. They are fast little creatures who can hide in a space as small as the thickness of a credit card. These insects at maturity measure about ¼ inch long.

Picture a bug about the length of a single grain of rice.

Evidence of an infestation can include bites on your person. They will typically feed in a small area, injecting an anti-coagulant substance under the skin to allow your blood to flow easily. You will generally see a small localized area of several bites on your skin to indicate the presence of these insects.

Bed Bugs Treatment Step #1

First, remove any clutter. You'll want easy access to anyplace that bugs can hide.

Bed bugs treatment starts with a vacuum cleaner with a disposable bag. You're going to vacuum everything! You need a vacuum that has a long hose and a crevice attachment.

Start by vacuuming where you've seen evidence of the critters, like the mattress seams and cracks. Pull the mattress off the box springs and vacuum them carefully as well as underneath the bed. Take apart the bed frame to remove any hiding places.

Vacuum the cracks where the carpet meets the wall, and anywhere you can see evidence of bugs. Bed bugs have been found to hide behind loose wallpaper, switchplate covers, and even behind baseboard, so you may want to remove these to vacuum behind them.

Check out furniture too, because these insects can live in sofas and chairs as easily as they can live in mattresses. You won't see many bugs, but your vacuum cleaner "offense" will suck up any eggs that may be waiting to hatch.

Once you've vacuumed every possible hiding place, take the vacuum outside and remove the bag. If you can incinerate the bag, do so. If not, place the bag inside a plastic garbage bag, tie it securely and dispose of immediately.

Bed Bugs Treatment Step #2

Rent or buy a steam cleaning machine.

The steam must get very hot, because bed bugs can withstand temperatures of up to 113 degrees. Try to get the steam at least 120 degrees.

Steam clean everything that you've just vacuumed in the previous step. Clean mattresses, box springs, sofa, chairs, furniture, carpet and baseboards. Don't miss anything!

If even one female (egg-laying) bug is missed, you could find yourself dealing with a whole new bed bug infestation.

Wash all clothing and bedding in HOT water. Warm or cool water is not enough to kill these insects. Wash coats and purses, anything that could even remotely harbor a bug. Wash rugs and blankets. Steam clean your carpet.

Bed Bugs Treatment Step #3

This is the chemical and/or pesticide step.

Chemicals can be caustic and cause health problems, so you'll want to check with your local exterminator to see what he or she would recommend.

If you have items that cannot be washed, say a computer, cell phone or other appliance, there's a product called "Nuvan Strips" that can be placed inside a plastic bag along with your item. The bag is sealed and the Nuvan Strips will fumigate the inside of the bag, killing any insects that are hiding inside the computer.

The bag and strips typically take about 3 days to do the job.

One more natural alternative to chemicals is diatomaceous earth, or DE.

Diatomaceous earth is basically the ground-up shells of tiny prehistoric creatures. These shells are very sharp to insects. When a bug walks through DE, the sharp edges will cut them, causing them to bleed to death.

DE can also be used in your garden to combat other garden insects. DE is harmless to humans.

If you choose to use DE, sprinkle it liberally around the room you've been cleaning, once the mattress and other items are dry. Make sure to get it into the crevices and cracks of your mattress and other places where you've noticed the blood/fecal matter stains.

Bed Bugs Treatment Does Not Mean You're a Poor Housekeeper

Someone with a cockroach infestation can sometimes be stigmatized as "dirty," or a bad housekeeper.

Bed bugs, though, are not discriminating. They will attack the home of someone who is a fanatical housekeeper as quickly as they will someone who tends to be more cluttered or casual about cleaning.

If you've been the victim of an infestation, take heart. This doesn't mean that you aren't a clean person. It does mean that you were in the wrong place at the wrong time, since bed bugs will hitch a ride anywhere looking for a fresh meal.

If you still haven't been able to eradicate your bug infestation even after this bed bugs treatment, then please check with your local exterminator.

If fleas are making your dog miserable, then there's only one thing you can do: find the flea's number one enemy. And no, it's not a flea collar. It's not flea powder either.

Electric Bug Zapper

Fight Fleas The Natural Way And Give Your Dog's Health A Boost!

Let me explain....

Fight Fleas The Natural Way And Give Your Dog's Health A Boost!

Evolution has given fleas quite a few advantages
This is what makes them so tough to get rid of. You see, the flea is a very adaptable and resilient little pests (not unlike the cockroach--ugh).

What advantages do fleas have? There are three major ones:

First of all, small as they may be, fleas have an immune system. And they will develop immunity to any kind of pesticide you use on them. It may take a few generations before this happens, but it doesn't take all that long for fleas to reproduce, so a few generations is nothing in "flea time". Second, fleas go through several stages of development, referred to as a "life cycle". During the fleas life cycle, it progresses from egg to larva to pupa, to adult flea. Trouble is, only the adult and larval fleas are susceptible to attack. Flea eggs and cocoons can live quite comfortably through a "bug bomb", or in the presence of flea collars and powders.

Third, fleas don't live just on your dog. It would be great if they did, because we'd only have to deal with our pet and we'd be done. We all understand that dogs pick up fleas outdoors, and that every time they step outside, dogs are tasty targets for fleas inhabiting the yard, woods, etc. So, we know there's danger lurking outside. But you might figure that once a flea hops on board, it'll live out its life cycle on your pet. To some extent, that's true. Initially, fleas lay their eggs on their host. But, most of the eggs don't stay there. They fall off, landing on the floor, in the carpet, and back in the yard! And we're not talking about just a few eggs. A single flea can lay 10 to 50 eggs a day, and can live as long as 100 days. That's as many as 2000 eggs in the lifetime of a single flea. Imagine the possibilities...

Here's another disturbing (and pretty disgusting) fact about fleas: when they bite, they inject a tiny amount of saliva into your dog. It acts as a blood thinner, making the blood easier to extract, but this also can be a means of spreading diseases and tapeworms. And it certainly isn't good for allergy-prone dogs, who can develop rashes and hot spots.

==========The Trouble with Traditional Methods==========

Convention has it that dogs should wear flea collars. If that doesn't work, sprinkle her with flea powder. And, of course, fumigate the house and yard. We've already discussed one problem with that approach, which is that fleas become immune to all pesticides sooner or later, so you must continually change products. But the other problem is more serious. It's the fact that all pesticides are poisons. They weaken your dog's immune system, making him an even tastier target for fleas. And they can make him sick in other ways too.

Poison is poison, no matter how you package it. (Yes the "spot-on" products are full of toxins too) And in your fight to eradicate fleas, you'll end up spreading poisons all over your yard, around your home, and --through his skin--into your dog's vital organs. Sure, no more fleas, but at what cost to everyone's health?

========So, what's a dog lover to do?===========

Fortunately, there's an answer. What most of us aren't told is that there are natural substances that fleas can't tolerate, and that are actually lethal to fleas. One of these is call "diatomaceous earth", or "DE".

DE is composed of finely milled fossilized shells of minuscule organisms called diatoms. The microscopically fine, sharp edges dry out the insects' outer shell on contact and fleas will dehydrate and die within hours.

The insects also die when they eat the dust. And it works on lots of other pests besides fleas! What's great about DE is that your dog (or cat) can eat it and it won't hurt her at all. And since it works by dehydration, fleas can't become immune to it

DE can be purchased as a powder and sprinkled on your pet and around your home. Don't leave out that most important step! Sprinkle the floors, furniture and carpeting. Sprinkle your dog's bedding and any place he likes to "hang out", since that's where the most fleas will accumulate. Be sure to get underneath
the furniture, because fleas like to hide out in dark places.

While vacuuming and washing the floors often is helpful, unless you can do it daily, it won't be enough. You should also know that fleas that get sucked into the vacuum bag can live and reproduce there, so be sure to vacuum up some DE powder too, to kill off fleas in the bag.

===========What about my dog's irritated skin?===========

All that scratching and those powders can leave a dog's skin pretty irritated. Well, Mother Nature has something for that too...

Neem seed oil is a very bitter oil with a garlic/sulfur smell and contains vitamin E and other essential amino acids. It's completely natural, and has been used as a botanical pesticide for years. When used on fleas and other pests, it impairs their development. Added bonuses are an antibacterial property, and a soothing effect on the skin.( Humans have been know to use Neem oil as an anti-arthritis and anti-wrinkle formula!)

Comb the oil through your dog's coat with a flea comb to help distribute it to both coat and skin. Now, your dog is not only free of fleas, but her skin feels better too.

Essential oils are another natural and effective way of repelling fleas. Cedar, tea tree, citronella, eucalyptus and pennyroyal, (the last two are toxic to cats) are all repulsive to fleas and can be obtained at most stores that sell herbal remedies. There are also essential oil blends containing Neem oil. Just dab a drop of the essential oil on your dog's collar, and mist it -- diluted with water-- onto her coat. Or, buy a pre-formulated spray and mist her to drive fleas away.

If your pet is already suffering from flea bites and itchy skin, herbal sprays will help soothe irritated skin. They contain aloe, which we all know is great for burns and hot spots!

b>Bathing your dog is also an effective, safe and natural way to get rid of fleas, using a neem or oatmeal based shampoo if her skin is irritated. "Bathe" her bedding too, by washing it weekly in hot soapy water. A flea comb will help you find their hiding spots.

==========What about the yard?==========

You can sprinkle DE powder here too, or apply it with a sprayer. Another option is to use "beneficial ematodes". Nematodes are microscopic soil worms that attack white grubs, fleas and crickets. They can be purchased from nurseries and similar outlets, mixed with water and sprayed on the breeding areas.

In order for the nematodes to survive, the soil must remain relatively moist and watered at least twice weekly. Beneficial nematodes do not harm plants, animals, humans or birds. Concentrate your spraying within 50 feet of where your dog "hangs out", since that's where the most fleas are found.

=========Ready to go high tech?==========

So far we've been taking the all-natural approach. But these days, there's a gadget for everything, and killing fleas is no exception. An "Electronic Flea Zapper Comb" which relies on a safe, low electric charge that is harmless to you and your pet, is reportedly "instantly deadly to fleas.

Does it work? I can't honestly tell you, but I love the idea! One of these days I'll get around to trying one!

As for the rest, these are time-honored methods for combating fleas and I can vouch for their effectiveness. Don't forget that any method you choose will work best if you start using it about a month before flea season begins. And use it continuously once you've spotted fleas on your pet. That way, you'll be sure you catch all fleas that survived as eggs and pupae, by being ready for them as they enter the vulnerable stages of their life cycle -- larval and adult fleas.

==========Yippee!! No more fleas!!===========

I know all of this may seem like a lot of work, but in the end, it's well worth it. Your dog will have no fleas, and will suffer no harmful side effects from collars and traditional powders. What's more worthwhile than having a happy, healthy dog who's thrilled to be alive?

As you notice, the insects (such as flies and mosquitoes) must have been the reason for running temperatures and other health issues that sometime arise in our homes. However, today, this is not the case anymore. We can kill those nuisances with just a swipe of the Electric fly swatter.

Is an Electric Fly Swatter Dangerous?

This device at first look resembles to a toy, but it is not so. Although it looks like a badminton racquet but that wiring area is actually an electric wired grid which can be turned on by pressing the button on the handle and is operated with batteries.

Is an Electric Fly Swatter Dangerous?

Whether or not its usage is dangerous, it actually depends on how we use and store this electric powered equipment. If it's used carelessly, then it can hurt yourself or other people.

If it's left alone, then small children in the house can pick it up and start playing with it while considering it to be a toy. If they turn it on by accident then this can lead to a big disaster.

Keeping that electric fly swatter in our hands while sitting on the chair can harm us when we fall a sleep, because we could turn it on and then touch that wired grid, which can give us a big electric shock.

It's also considered dangerous if it touches the areas or substances that can be potentially ignited by electric current (Flammable substances, electrical equipments, machinery with moving parts, and sources of static electricity).

If we can keep a watch on all these things, then this electric fly swatter can prove to be a real boon instead of being dangerous if left unmanned or used carelessly. Whenever nobody is using it, we can take out the batteries and store it to save us and our beloved ones from having unpleasant incidents.

Bed Bug Exterminators Share Tips to Prevent, Combat and Kill Bed Bugs

Bed Bug Exterminators' Tips to Prevent Infestations

Bed Bug Exterminators Share Tips to Prevent, Combat and Kill Bed Bugs

The easiest way to control these bugs is to prevent them from coming home with you in the first place.

Bed bugs are a small (a full grown adult is about the size of a grain of rice), very mobile critter. They can walk easily. Their bodies are flat, which means that they can hide in very small spaces.

Most infestations start very quietly, bed bug exterminators report. You may stay at a hotel where the bugs have nested. You may bring them home from a friend's house in your suitcase or on your clothing.

You could be Mr. Clean and it would not matter. These bugs are not deterred by disinfectants or strong cleaners. If they can hitch a ride with you, they will. They're like cockroaches in this respect.

Most bed bug exterminators recommend that if you suspect the bugs where you're staying, take a good look around. Examine the cracks and crevices of the beds and furniture, particularly the stuffed sofas and chairs. Look for evidence of the bugs through small dark red or brown spots, which can either be blood or bug excrement. These will be small spots in a localized area.

If you see evidence of the bugs' presence, or even think you do, then keep any personal items away from that area. Put your suitcase(s) in the bathtub. The same goes for additional clothing and purses.

Bed Bug Exterminators' Tips to Combat Infestations

The bad news is that you think you've found bed bugs. The good news is that there is help available!

Of course, your best bet is to retain one of the bed bug exterminators in your area. They can reduce the hassle and inconvenience, and they will keep coming back until they have your bug problem solved!

Sometimes, though, you don't have that luxury. In that case, here's what you do:

Remove all bed clothing and all of your clothing from any affected room(s). Bed bug exterminators advise that these critters can live without food for as long as one year (yes, really!), so you want to take decisive action.

These critters can also survive temperatures of up to 113 degrees Fahrenheit. This means you will want to wash all of your clothing and bedding, and even curtains, in HOT water, or dry clean them. This is a MUST! If you miss even one breeding pair, this is all a useless exercise.

These bugs do not like light. Bed bug exterminators recommend searching for bugs in any dark, quiet spot, since they typically sleep during the day and only emerge in the safety of darkness. This can be under the mattress, so you'll want to check the box spring carefully. These bugs have even been known to hide behind light switchplates.

The next step is to vacuum. Vacuum everything and everywhere! Use a vacuum that has a disposable bag. Take a crevice wand and vacuum the bare mattress seams and cracks. Vacuum the crevices where the wall and the floor meet. Vacuum anyplace you see those small reddish brown spots. Vacuum the cracks in the sofa and other furniture, and you can even vacuum the curtains.

When you're done vacuuming, take the vacuum outside and remove the bag. Place it immediately in a plastic garbage bag and tie off tight. If you have an incinerator, use it. Otherwise, dispose of the trash bag right way.

Bed Bug Exterminators' Tips to Kill These Bad Bugs

Buy, borrow or rent a steam cleaner. Make sure the steam will get to more than 113 degrees, or you'll just annoy the bugs and not kill them. Steam clean every area that you just vacuumed, the crevices and cracks of the bare mattress, the seams, the cracks where carpet and floor meet, the furniture.

Be thorough! You don't want even one bad bug to escape!

Buy a few pounds of diatomaceous earth. This is a fine powder that is harmless to humans but will kill bed bugs (and other bugs). Diatomaceous earth, or DE, is made from the shells of prehistoric diatoms. The shells are very tiny and they have very sharp edges. The bugs will walk through the ground shells and the sharp edges will cut them, causing them to bleed to death.

Sprinkle the DE everywhere that you've vacuumed and steam cleaned, once the items have dried after the steam cleaning. If there are any bugs that you've missed, bed bug exterminators advise that the DE should catch them and kill them.

What's next?

That's it. Hopefully your thorough bug removal program has caught all of the bed bugs and eggs. If you still find evidence of these critters after following your bug extermination program, then you may want to call one of your local bed bug exterminators.

==========The Trouble with Traditional Methods==========

========So, what's a dog lover to do?===========

===========What about my dog's irritated skin?===========

==========What about the yard?==========

=========Ready to go high tech?==========

==========Yippee!! No more fleas!!===========

I know all of this may seem like a lot of work, but in the end, it's well worth it. Your dog will have no fleas, and will suffer no harmful side effects from collars and traditional powders. What's more worthwhile than having a happy, healthy dog who's thrilled to be alive?

Clay pigeons are thrown into the air to produce a flying target by a machine known as a trap. A trap can fling a clay out to a distance of up to 120 meters.

Most modern shooting grounds use automatic traps (fully automated, electrical powered machines that will throw a clay pigeon every time a remote button is pressed or acoustic sensor is operated) to produce consistent targets, allow greater target flexibility and increase operator safety.

Clay Pigeon Thrower

Shotguns are used to shoot clay pigeons. Each shot from a shotgun contains hundreds of small metal balls
(usually lead shot) that spread out to form a cloud of rapidly moving projectiles.
